I have a strong belief that unless you add value to your customers and share holders, the business will not be able to sustain over a period of time. There has to be a differentiator (technological or functional) and a good marketing plan to make your business successful.
There is one more point that should be kept in mind when doing business in India. Here, consumers pay a lot of attention to value for money. A product like 3Ms postit notes will not be successful if it were launched in India. For that, the economy of the country needs to mature and should rise above basic necessities. Until that happens, keep working on ideas that can generate value for money for the customers.
